Mr. Peterson has been in his current role of multifamily housing and community division manager with Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC) since 2006, having previously worked at the WSHFC administering down payment assistance programs. In between roles at the WSHFC, he served as deputy executive director for the Pierce County Housing Authority. Prior to all these, he held assistant vice president and vice president positions at Norwest Mortgage, EMP Enterprise, and Seattle First National Bank.
Mr. Peterson is a member of the executive board for the Pacific NW Region Chapter of the Association of Washington Housing Authorities, a member of the citizen advisory committee for East Pierce County Fire and Rescue, and a member of the Tacoma Pierce County Affordable Housing Development Consortium.
Mr. Peterson holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Washington State University. He has also received an executive development certificate from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and is a housing development finance professional through the National Development Council.
