Deborah "Deb" Baldwin is the chief diversity and inclusion officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Deb joined FHLB Des Moines in May 2020. In this role, she oversees all aspects of the Bank's diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as the Bank’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI).
Deb has extensive experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, and OMWI. Prior to joining FHLB Des Moines, she consulted on diversity and inclusion strategy development and execution. Prior to consulting, she was the deputy director, OMWI, at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and also previously served as assistant vice president, Diversity and Inclusion, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago with responsibility for establishing their OMWI.
Deb also spent 10 years at BP Corporation, while there, she designed and implemented diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs for BP offices in more than six countries. Deb received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Georgia State University and holds certifications in unconscious bias training and the Intercultural Development Inventory designed to assess cross-cultural competence.
