Legislative Update - 12/12/2018
last updated on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Public Policy Network
By now, you’ve probably read the headlines, watched the clips, and heard a fair amount from those on social media on the midterm elections. Let’s take a step back and look at the results without any commentary. This is not meant to be an all-encompassing analysis but a short review of how the results will affect our district. We will also take a look at what is happening in DC during this lame duck session.
Election Results
Almost all of the contest have been announced and Representatives-elect and Senators-elect are swiftly putting together their DC offices. Below you will find a full list of Representatives and Senators who will represent our district in the 116th US Congress. We will continue our relationships with those who were re-elected and look forward to building new relationships with those who won for the first time.

Committee Assignments
We are closely monitoring progress for Committee leadership and assignments. The change in majority is a time for refocusing and reorganizing of many aspects of the Legislative branch- including committees. Once the leaders and members are announced, we will include those in the next edition of the PPN Newsletter.
Events Around Our District
Are you awaiting the announcement of the 2018 AHP Awards as eagerly as we are? Keep an eye on our site, a list of the winners will be posted later this month when they are officially announced.
